Jenna – Restaurant Manager

What’s your role at Healing Manor Hotel?
“I am Restaurant Manager and it’s the role I came into the company. I’ve been here since the end of November.”

What’s your favourite part of the job?
“I love my job so it’s hard to pick one thing alone. The team are like a family and I love seeing all my customers, old and new. I also love that every day is different.”

What’s your most memorable feature?
“I think people will hear me before they see me… usually singing away, badly!”

What’s your favourite dish on the menu?
“I love the Wild Mushroom Risotto and the Vegan Cheese and Truffle Fries.”

What moment at work will you never forget?
“Setting off the confetti cannon on the countdown to New Year. It was much bigger than expected and I covered the entire room in confetti.”

What’s your advice to anyone thinking about working at Healing Manor?
“Don’t think about it, just do it. You won’t regret working for such a fantastic company and there are endless possibilities to progress in your career.”

Phoebe Carson – Food and Beverage Assistant

What’s your role at Healing Manor Hotel?
“My job role is front of house – mainly food running,  but since being here I’ve also learnt elements of Reception, Bar and Housekeeping. I’ve been working at the Manor since November but I started off as a work placement to gain Hospitality experience through my college course of Travel and Tourism. I took the job as I loved it. That was the best decision and I can’t see myself working anywhere else in Grimsby!”

What’s your favourite part of the job?
“My favourite part of the job is making customers happy through my quality of service. Delivering Tasting Menus is also a rewarding feeling as customers always give such positive feedback to us!”

What’s your most memorable feature?
“My memorable feature is my positive attitude around the work place, and the smile I carry around with me whilst working.”

What’s your favourite dish on the menu?
“My favourite dish on the menu is the Carbonara.”

What moment at work will you never forget?
“A moment I’ll never forget is how kind and welcoming everyone was when I first started here as my placement. I instantly felt apart of the team and that’s what made me stay.”

What’s your advice to anyone thinking about working at Healing Manor?
“A piece of advice I’d give to anyone wanting to work at Healing Manor is to go for it. You won’t regret it as you’ll see your confidence grow so much as it opens up a different side of you. The opportunities throughout the job are endless.”

Luke Falconer – Trainee Manager

What’s your role at Healing Manor Hotel?
“My role is Trainee Operations Manager. This is my first role with the business. I joined Healing Manor in March 2023, so I have been here for just over two months so far.”

What’s your favourite part of the job?
“My favourite part of the job is how I am always learning, and every day is a fresh challenge. I love how walking in the door every day presents something different.”

What’s your most memorable feature?
“My memorable feature would probably be my smile.”

What’s your favourite dish on the menu?
“My favourite dish on the menu is Beef Bourguignon; a fantastic, hearty meal, complimented beautifully with a dauphinoise potato!”

What moment at work will you never forget?
“My first Business Awards is an experience I won’t forget in a hurry. It was fantastic experience for myself and all the staff.”

What’s your advice to anyone thinking about working at Healing Manor?
