Set in the peaceful Lincolnshire countryside village of Healing, near Grimsby, our dedicated Events Team provides discreet, professional support to ensure your funeral reception, wake, or celebration of life is handled with care and sensitivity.

We offer a choice of private function rooms, each designed to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere:

  • The Barn – accommodating larger gatherings with a rustic yet elegant backdrop.
  • The Cadogan Suite – bright and versatile, perfect for medium-sized groups.
  • The Cure All Lounge – intimate and private for smaller family receptions.

Each space can be tailored to reflect your family’s wishes and the memory of your loved one.

£25 per person, which includes a set buffet menu, tea and coffee for your guests throughout and hire of the room.

Our chefs prepare menus designed to bring people together, whether you prefer a light afternoon tea, a hot buffet, or a more formal sit-down meal. If our set package isn’t suitable, view our current function menus here. Please note that room hire charges will apply to non-package related bookings. These vary from £150 – £450. Our funeral, wake and celebration of life package for £25, does include room hire.

We regularly host funeral receptions for families from Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Immingham and the surrounding villages.

 

Booking Terms and Conditions

  • We are able to hold a function room provisionally for a few days while you confirm arrangements with family and the funeral director. After this, a deposit of £150 is required to secure your date; this will be deducted from your final balance.

  • Final guest numbers and confirmed dietary requirements are requested up to 2 weeks before your booking. We appreciate that, at times, funeral receptions and wakes are arranged at shorter notice, so please speak with our Events Team if this is the case and we will do our best to support you.

  • Access to your reserved function room is from 9.00am on the day of your booking, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with our Events Team in advance.

  • We can provide a screen and projector for photo slideshows or videos; we kindly ask that you provide the laptop or device and access to any presentation or online album you wish to share.

  • You are welcome to bring a personal Spotify playlist if music is important to you and your loved one. If you would prefer, we can instead provide gentle background music throughout your time with us.

  • To protect the fabric and décor of our rooms, we are unable to permit items to be stuck or fixed to walls. You are, however, very welcome to display table decorations, flowers, safely lit candles, memorial boards and photographs using stands or easels.

  • Any additional dietary requirements that our team are made aware of less than 24 hours prior to your event may require extra catering to be prepared on the day. Where this is necessary, an additional charge of £15 per person will apply for those late‑notified requirements.
