We love it when a wedding really shows off the bride and groom’s personalities, and Jessica and Richard’s wedding, which we were lucky enough to host last August, did just that. If we were to describe it in three words it would be cool, fun, and romantic.

As the beautiful bride and her bridal party were getting ready here at the Manor, the groom arrived in a vintage black Ferrari, suited and booted in a black floral suit, which really set the tone for the day. The ceremony took place in the barn, which boasts a private, fully stocked bar and seats up to 150 guests, and was filled with fairy lights and decorated by Sea Holly Floral Designs.

Jessica walked down the aisle in a stunning white dress, carrying a bouquet handcrafted by Sea Holly Floral Design, which included white roses and eucalyptus which complemented the groom’s buttonholes perfectly. She was joined by her bridesmaids, dressed in matching grey dresses, carrying similar bouquets. The vows were exchanged, and the ‘I Dos’ said, before the couple were declared husband and wife, to much cheering and clapping from the guests. Then, the happy couple practically danced down the aisle ready to celebrate their new life together as Mr and Mrs Cawkwell .

As photographer and videographer Fire & Ice captured the scenes of the happy couple, their guests enjoyed drinks in the barn’s idyllic gardens and willow-draped pond, both of which provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s big day.

After the guests were seated and Mr and Mrs Cawkwell welcomed into the room the groom, and Patrick, the best man made their speeches. After glasses were raised and the couple toasted, everyone tucked into a delicious meal, provided by Galloping Gourmet Caterers.

After the meal, with everyone full and content, three-piece band Alternative Eighties, played an acoustic set before the evening guests arrived. The cake, a stunning three-tiered semi-naked sponge created by Cakes by Sally, was cut and the first dance, followed by the father daughter dance, took place. Then the evening really kicked off as Alternative Eighties played their first set of the night.

The dance floor was full all evening, with much laughter and dancing taking place. The guests loved the evening buffet, and the night was rounded off with the band playing their final set.  What a wedding that was! Congratulations Jessica and Richard, we hope you had as much of a blast on your big day as we did.
