Some weddings really do feel like a fairy-tale don’t they? And nothing makes us happier, here at Healing Manor Hotel, when we’re able to contribute towards that magical feeling. Which is why we’re so thrilled to share with you Sarah and Chris’s wedding day.

This magical wedding just shone ‘Happily Ever After’ from the moment Sarah’s smile brightened the room as she walked down the aisle of our Lincolnshire wedding barn, to the sound of ‘Train Marry Me.’

After an intimate ceremony, as the sun shone down on the happy couple and their guests, photographers James and Merika Green, and videographer, Know Media, captured the most stunning of images of the happy couple in our stunning landscaped grounds. Sarah stunning in her simple, but elegant dress, holding a bouquet of white roses and greenery, and Chris in his tux with matching buttonhole.

Initial memories captured, and capapes enjoyed, the guests and the happy couple were back in the barn – styled by Jack Loves Jill – to enjoy a delicious wedding breakfast. To start, there was a choice of chicken liver and bacon pate, with apple and vanilla chutney and brioche, or bruschetta with herb crusted mozzarella, beetroot, and rocket pesto, before moving onto the main. A mouth-watering topside of beef with creamed and roast potatoes and seasonal veg, or for those who fancied it, sweet onion and goats cheese tartan, with grilled courgette, broad beans and baby spinach. Finally, for those sensible enough to leave room for desert, it was a choice between strawberry, white chocolate and elderflower pavlova or sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and custard. Wonderful!

After the speeches – which caused laughter and tears – the evening guests arrived, and the happy couple cut the cake – a beautifully created cheesecake supplied by Lincoln Cheesecakes – before then taking to the dance floor to celebrate their first dance as husband and wife to the sound of ‘Perfect’ by Boyce Avenue. Olivia Newton John’s ‘Country Roads’ followed, for a touching dad and daughter dance, before the rest of the guests took to either the dance floor, the inflatable soft play hockey (which may have become a bit competitive at times), or the photo booth.

This fairytale wedding continued to be filled with laughter and fun – and stone baked pizza and drinks- until nearly midnight, giving the guests time to hop into their carriages and travel home, or rooms, before they turned into pumpkins.

Congratulations Sarah and Chris, we loved being part of your special day.
