Carrie & Josh’s Wedding at Healing Manor on 27 September 2025
Some wedding venues simply feel right from the very beginning and for Carrie and Josh, there was never any doubt about choosing the Barn at Healing Manor for their celebration.
“I have known Charlotte for many years and have seen some beautiful events being held at Healing Manor. There was no other option in our minds.“
On 27 September 2025, that long-held vision came to life as they celebrated their marriage at the much-loved Healing Manor, surrounded by family, friends, and an atmosphere full of love, laughter, and effortless elegance.
A Ceremony Full of Meaning
The ceremony took place at 1.30pm, beautifully led by AG Celebrants. Carrie later reflected on just how special that part of the day felt.
“Jen conducted the most beautiful ceremony and Will kept the day in full swing as Toast Master.”
As the newlyweds walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, ‘Sunflower’ by Post Malone & Swae Lee played out – a joyful, feel-good soundtrack to the start of their married life.
Minimal, Classy & Personal Styling
Carrie and Josh styled their wedding themselves, creating a look that felt refined yet deeply personal. Carrie explained:
“I love minimalistic and classy décor, and fell in love with the gypsophila when I was looking at wedding décor inspiration.“
Soft, delicate florals set the tone, while thoughtful personal touches made the day truly unique; from glasses engraved with their initial to a mirror featuring a humorous quote that had guests smiling. One of the most meaningful details was a jar of mints placed in memory of loved ones who couldn’t be there in person.
“That was the extra personal touch we loved.“
Drinks, Sunshine & Celebration
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed relaxed arrival drinks in the courtyard. Bottled Peroni, glasses of Prosecco, Fruit Shoots, and jugs of water infused with lemon and cucumber ensured everyone felt refreshed as the celebrations began.
This was the perfect time for mingling, laughter, and those first newlywed photographs – all beautifully captured by Darren Brough Photography, whose natural, storytelling style reflected the joy of the day perfectly.
A Bespoke & Brilliant Wedding Breakfast
For the wedding breakfast, Carrie and Josh opted for a bespoke food package that reflected their relaxed approach to hosting. The couple dined together at a sweetheart table, while guests were seated at round tables, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.
Mini burger sliders were served in the centre of each table – pulled pork, chicken, and cheeseburgers – alongside gherkins, fries, slaw, and salads. Desserts followed in the same sharing style, with mini cakes and dessert canapés placed on the tables for guests to enjoy.
Carrie summed it up perfectly:
“We had a bespoke food package and requested mini burger sliders and mini cakes for our wedding breakfast which went down a massive hit. Everyone raved how amazing the food was and how it was just enough. The staff could not have done any more; if we wanted more chips or condiments it was never too much hassle.“
Evening Fun & Festivities
As the day turned into evening, the celebrations continued in full swing. Lincoln Lens provided a photobooth that kept guests entertained and created endless memories, while Healing Manor’s own DJ Mr T & Co ensured the dance floor stayed lively.
Evening food was a generous buffet featuring sandwiches, sausage rolls, pizzas, potato wedges, haddock goujons with tartar sauce, leafy greens and coleslaw, plus a tempting selection of sweet treats including Victoria sponge, chocolate brownie, tarte au citron, and cheesecake.
A crisp wall supplied by the couple – topped up during the day and refreshed for the evening – added a fun and very tasty touch.
