Dining Booking Terms & Conditions
Reservations & Pre-Authorisations
All dining reservations must be made online via our Book a Table system and we cannot guarantee you a table, or service without a booking.
Card details are required at the time of booking to secure the reservation and a £10 per person pre-authorisation is required to secure all standard bookings.
In the unfortunate event that you must cancel or postpone your booking with less than 24-hours notice and we are subsequently unable to re-sell the table, a late cancellation fee of £10 per person will be charged to the guaranteed card.
Please note that for Afternoon Tea and Tasting Menu bookings, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancellation without charge. This is due to the nature of the preparation work that goes into these bookings. For our Tasting Menu, a £40 per person pre-authorisation is required.
Pre-authorisations are not charged unless you fail to attend your booking (no-show). In the event of a no-show, the pre-authorisation will be processed.
A booking for 10 or more guests
Card details are required at the time of booking to secure the reservation. In the unfortunate event that you must cancel or postpone your booking with less than 72-hours notice and we are subsequently unable to re-sell the table, a late cancellation fee of £10 per person will be charged to the guaranteed card, or £40 per person, if booked onto our seasonal Tasting Menu.
Guests dining in a group of 10 or more will be asked to pay the bill with no more than two separate transactions. A pre-order will be required no later than 7 days prior to the booking. Please note that our menus are subject to small changes, due to the locality and seasonality of our offering.
Dietary Requirements & Allergies
While allergen information is available for all dishes, we kindly ask that you inform your server of any dietary requirements or allergies when booking and on arrival, so we can ensure your dish is prepared safely.
Whilst we have separate preparation areas, fryers and equipment for dietary considerations such as nut allergies and gluten allergies, we do handle these products within our kitchen.
Offers & Discounts
Dining offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or discount. Only one offer can be applied to a bill at any one time.
Seating & Venue Information
Our menus run across both the Pig & Whistle Pub (dog-friendly) and the Restaurant (strictly no dogs).
The Restaurant is subject to limited opening hours, while the Pub is open daily for bookings.
We accept special seating requests and will always do our best to accommodate them. However, these cannot be guaranteed.
Dog-Friendly Policy – Healing Manor & The Pig & Whistle
We are proud to be a dog-friendly venue and welcome well-behaved dogs in designated areas throughout Healing Manor, The Pig & Whistle Pub, and outside areas. In The Pig & Whistle Pub we have a special favourite dog-friendly menu. We ask that you ensure dogs are kept on a lead and don’t sit on furniture. If you are planning your pooch, please do let us know upon booking so we can sure we have a table to allocate to you and your four-legged friend.
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests, we kindly ask dog owners to adhere to the following guidelines:
Leads & Control – Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, both inside and outside, including in dog-friendly The Pig & Whistle Pub. Owners must maintain full control of their pets to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
Behaviour & Noise – We welcome friendly, well-behaved dogs. However, if a dog is persistently barking or causing a disturbance, we may kindly ask the owner to step outside until the dog settles.
Cleanliness & Responsibility – Owners must take full responsibility for their pets. Any accidents or mess must be cleaned up immediately. Should any damage or excessive mess occur, a cleaning charge may be applied.
We love seeing your four-legged friends enjoy their time with us, but we also want to ensure that all guests—both with and without dogs—have an enjoyable visit. Thank you for your cooperation.
Our Grounds
Please note that our grounds are our own private gardens. If you are joining us over night, for a drink, or to enjoy some of our delicious award-winning food, please enjoy them at your own leisure.
We are home to ducks and other wildlife. We ask that you respect their space. They especially don’t like it when young children and sometimes adults too, run at them or scream at them, so we politely ask that you refrain from doing this. They are friendly and might come and visit you for a bite to eat. We do ask that you don’t feed them, unless a member of our team is able to provide you with ‘duck snacks’. They live on a very healthy and species-friendly diet.
If you are booking to enjoy Afternoon Tea or any other menus which will be on offer throughout the summer in our grounds, please refrain from bringing any drinks or food on site with you. We are not licensed for this and it puts our Team in an awkward position when they have to take it off you, or ask you to leave. Our chefs are all in AA and removed bottles of beer/spirits or anything else you might think about bringing with you, won’t be good for their livers, or their concentration when they are cooking your food…
Please do not fish in our waters, and please do not encourage your dogs to jump in our waters. The moat, in particular, is mineral-rich, which isn’t very good for your four-legged friends’ tummies.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Safety and service is our upmost priority.
