A Joyful September Celebration at Healing Manor
On a golden September day in 2025, Benk and Ash Howson tied the knot in the beautiful Barn at Healing Manor, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their wedding was full of personality, love, and a touch of sparkle – quite literally – with disco balls making an appearance throughout the September celebrations.

Wedding Style Inspiration
The couple chose green as their central colour, with disco balls woven into the styling to reflect a fun, light-hearted theme that had become part of their wedding journey. The result was a perfect mix of elegance and party vibes, truly reflecting their personalities.
The Outfits
Benk looked stunning in a gown from Jayne’s Bridalwear, while Ash and the groomsmen looked sharp in suits from Suit Culture. The flower girl twirled her way through the day in a dress by Liluna adding the sweetest finishing touch.
Hair & Makeup
The bride’s hair was styled by her brother-in-law, Scott at The Hair Studio, and makeup was perfected by Jade Clay Hair & Makeup – a dream team that made sure the bridal party looked and felt their best.

“He was great to work with, puts you at ease, and really does just feel like one of the gang,” the couple said. “He also gets everyone in check and captured some amazing photos that we will treasure forever.”
Styling & Details
The couple’s vision came to life thanks to Jack Loves Jill, who styled the venue with thoughtful detail, tying in the green theme and those all-important disco balls. Flowers were created by Gina at The Enchanted Garden, adding natural beauty to the space.
Food & Cake
The wedding breakfast was a feast to remember, beginning with a choice of classic favourites including prawn cocktail with lemon and wholemeal bread, garlic mushrooms on toast with rocket and balsamic, or a hearty scotch egg with apple purée and pickled onions. For the mains, guests were treated to comforting dishes such as roast turkey with stuffing and gravy, a duo of beef with dauphinoise and roasted potatoes, carrots, seasonal greens and a rich peppercorn sauce, or a vegetarian option of creamy mushroom stroganoff.
To finish, desserts brought indulgence to the table with sticky toffee pudding and butterscotch sauce served with custard, or a decadent triple chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce and honeycomb.
Later in the evening, guests were treated to a delicious hog roast and a beautifully-crafted cake by Dream Cakes.
A September Celebration
The entertainment truly came into its own as night fell. As guests finished the wedding breakfast, the arrival of an inflatable bull and penalty shoot-out brought plenty of laughter and light-hearted competition.
Later on, DJ Scott Knight took to the decks, filling the dance floor with the perfect mix of tunes to get everyone moving. The party atmosphere was lifted even higher when Callum of Sweet on Sax joined the celebrations, his live saxophone performance adding a unique and unforgettable energy to the night.
