At Healing Manor, we take great pride in providing the perfect setting for couples to celebrate their special day. In May 2022, we had the pleasure of hosting a truly memorable wedding for Lucy and Scott Meffen. Their May wedding was a picture-perfect day, filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments at our beautiful Lincolnshire wedding venue.

A Romantic Ceremony in the Wedding Barn
Lucy and Scott exchanged their vows in our stunning wedding barn, an enchanting space that blends rustic charm with elegant touches. Originally built in the 1700s and thoughtfully restored in 2014, the barn is a favourite amongst couples looking for a romantic wedding venue in Lincolnshire.
Styled by Love in the Limelight, the barn’s wooden beams were adorned with twinkling fairy lights, creating a magical atmosphere for the ceremony. The bridesmaids looked radiant in sage green dresses, carrying elegant bouquets of white roses crafted by The Enchanted Garden, perfect for the May wedding day.

As guests waited in anticipation, Lucy made her entrance to ‘The One’ by Kodaline, looking breathtaking in a lace fishtail dress. It was a truly touching moment as she walked down the aisle to meet Scott.

Celebrating in the sunshine
After a heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds stepped out under a shower of confetti, with ‘Best Day Of My Life’ by American Authors playing in the background. the may weather was on their side, allowing guests to enjoy refreshing Pimm’s in our picturesque gardens while Inspire Images captured stunning photographs of the happy couple.

A delicious wedding breakfast
As the celebrations moved indoors, guests were treated to a delightful wedding breakfast. Lucy and Scott’s carefully-curated menu included a choice of Prawn Cocktail or Chicken Liver and bacon pâté to start, followed by Roast Pork, Chicken with creamed potatoes, or a vegetarian option of Sweet Onion & Goat’s Cheese Tart. For dessert, guests indulged in either a rich dark and white chocolate Brownie, a light Vanilla Cheesecake, or a zesty Lemon Tart.

One of the highlights of the meal was a special surprise for the bride – a traditional Danish song, ‘My Nonnie Lies Over the Ocean,’ chosen by family members from Denmark. This touching gesture brought a truly personal and international flair to the day.

An evening of dancing and laughter
As the sun set, more guests arrived to join in the celebrations. The couple’s first dance, set to ‘Dreams’ by Gabrielle, was a beautiful moment, followed by an evening of music, laughter, and fun. With a DJ in the chapel, a fantastic BBQ selection, and a lively photobooth, the night was filled with joy.
As a premier wedding venue in Lincolnshire, we love seeing couples create magical memories at Healing Manor. Congratulations again to Mr and Mrs Meffen—your wedding was truly one to remember!
