Hosting Rachel and Chris in our wedding barn wedding recently was a real honour. The intimate ceremony was set in our stunning wedding barn situated in beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Grimsby and allowed the bride and groom to tie the knot surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
When it came to the ceremony, Rachel walked down the aisle looking stunning and holding a bouquet of eucalyptus and white roses. The bouquet, from Sarah Richards flowers, set the theme of understated but tasteful décor throughout the day. There was a romantic, easy vibe created by Love in the Limelight as Rachael and Chris exchanged vows under a simple arch to match the bouquet, surrounded by carefully placed candles in beautiful glass holders.
After the ceremony, covered in confetti, the guests played games in the grounds, and enjoyed canapes including a melt in the mouth mini fish and chips, all while James Green photography captured the memories that were being made, with Rachael and Chris at the centre of it all.
When it came to the wedding breakfast, everyone was seated at tables decorated with flickering candles, in a stunningly decorated tipi, provided by Wild at Heart as they happily tucked into a starter of ‘Confit Duck Terrine, with Rhubarb, Ginger and Pak Choi Salad’.
The main – Duo of Chicken, served with Pommes Maxim and Heritage Carrots – was devoured by all, but a simple but utterly decadent ‘Chocolate Torte with Coconut cream’ was served for dessert, before Rachael and Chris enjoyed the coffee and speeches.
There was much laughter as the cake was cut. Created by Mini Kin Cakes, it really tied in with the floral theme of the day. Topped with white Lisianthus, Gypsophila, Eucalyptus, and a white spray of roses, before, adding a delicate finishing touch of edible gold leaf, and white macarons, it was simply perfect.
We are so happy the weather held for Rachel and Chris big day, and we wish them every happiness for the future.
