Celebrate Christmas with our Festive Set Menu, served this November and December
Visit The Pig & Whistle Restaurant this Christmas and relax over a delicious festive set lunch or dinner. Choose one, two or three courses from our festive set menu, full of the flavours of the season, and get in to the Christmas spirit in our magically-decorated Restaurant.
Available at lunch or dinner, there’s something for everyone on our festive set menu – from traditional favourites to modern twists on classics.
Amongst our starters are a classic Prawn Cocktail dressed with a creamy Marie Rose sauce, and a warming, spiced Cauliflower Soup with an onion bhaji. There’s also a smooth chicken liver paté with apple chutney, and salt-baked beetroot with walnuts, whipped goat’s cheese, apple and crostini.
Our main courses are all served with seasonal winter vegetables, roasted and mashed potatoes. Choose from traditional Roast Turkey with bacon and sausage wrap and gravy, Beef Brisket with mushroom and red wine gravy, or Grilled Salmon, served with spinach and prawn velouté. For vegetarians, we have a mushroom and feta risotto with onion purée and truffle oil (can be made vegan).
Don’t forget to leave room for dessert! Can we tempt you with a fresh lemon tart, raspberry cream and honeycomb, or would you prefer a decadent Christmas Sticky Toffee Pudding with butterscotch and custard? Chocolate lovers will love our chocolate and hazelnut brownie with coffee mascarpone and a chocolate shard and for savoury lovers, our cheese board, full of local cheeses with Peter’s Yard crackers grapes, celery and chutney, is not to be missed.
Our Festive Set Menu launches on Thursday 16th November and is served until 30th December 2023.
Our lunch menu is available on a special offer, for tables of any number (with a pre-order required for tables of over 10 guests). The evening menu is only available for tables of 10+ guests with a pre-order required, due to the nature of preparation required.
Please note that our tables for dining are located in our Restaurant area, and tables for drinks and snacks in the bar area. If you want to bring along your dog, please book directly with our team, so we can check availability in our dog-friendly bar area in The Pig & Whistle. Please note that the lunch time menu is a special offer and is therefore a reduced price. Regular booking terms and conditions apply.
