Christmas Afternoon Tea at Healing Manor is a luxurious and nostalgic treat to be enjoyed by all.
The tradition of Afternoon Tea dates back to 1840 when Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford would become hungry at around four o’clock in the afternoon. Evening meals were served fashionably late in the 1800’s leaving a long gap between lunch and dinner, so Anna would often enjoy a cup of tea and slice of cake. Friends were invited to join her and word spread until it become highly popular and fashionable in society – and so it continues today.
