In February, we had the honour of hosting the beautifully white wedding of William and Rebecca. The couple were lucky enough to experience a magical sprinkling of snow while being snapped around our picturesque grounds, before retreating to the cosy escape of our romantic barn.
Rebecca wore a flowing white dress with an exquisitely detailed bodice, as she made her way down the aisle to a heart-warming violin rendition of The Greatest Showman’s ‘A Million Dreams’. Her bridesmaids in their sage green, sequined dresses were all grasping their matching bouquets by Julip Freelance Florist. To the delight of all of the guests, we were also honoured by the presence of the ring-bearer, Dougie the dog.
For the reception dinner, the tables were beautifully dressed by Love In The Limelight, with tasteful flower and candle centrepieces. Dougie the dog once again took centre stage, perched proudly on the top of the stunning wedding cake, next to the bride and groom.
Guests were treated to a delicious selection of food on the menu:
Starters
Bruschetta with herb crusted mozzarella, beetroot, rocket pesto
Prawn cocktail, Marie rose sauce, wholemeal bread, scorched lemon
Mains
Roast topside of beef served with creamed potato, roast potato and seasonal vegetables
Chicken supreme, bacon, pork, sage & onion stuffing, fondant, sherry & mushroom velouté
Spring green risotto (vegetarian option)
Dessert
Banoffee pie cheesecake, chocolate shard
Dark and white chocolate brownie, cherry cream
The evening reception was off to a ‘super trooper’ start when the mums performed a sensational routine to the ABBA hit! What a way to get the party started, setting the tone for a night of pure happiness, fun and joy.
The newlyweds ended the night on a high, leaving the venue surrounded by their family and friends waving sparklers in the air.
With so many special moments from start to finish, this wedding was one to remember, and we’re so pleased that we were a part of it. We wish William and Rebecca all the best for the future, and a life of love and happiness.
