We can’t wait to welcome you all back to Healing Manor Hotel and The Pig and Whistle.
We have implemented guidance for bookings and future visits, whilst we find our feet with the worlds ‘new normal’. We ask that you take some time to read these and get in touch if you have any questions.
To book a table, enquire about an event or to ask any questions, please get in touch via T. (01472) 884544 or E. email@example.com
Booking Terms and Conditions.
Guests dining before 7pm will be allocated a 2-hour time slot. When menus are available after 7pm, guests are welcome to your table for the remainder of the evening, until the end of service.
Please arrive no later than 10 minutes after your booking, as we will not be able to reserve your table after this time. We also ask that you arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your booking, as we have a strict time allocation for all reservations. This is to allow for our team to ensure that all deep cleaning regulations set out by Healing Manor Hotel are met. Due to the governments social distancing guidelines, we cannot allow guests to congregate at the door or at the bar.
Until further notice, we will only be able to accept bookings of 6 guests or less. If you wish to dine up to a table of 12, please click here to enquire about hiring out our private dining room The Cure All. For tables dining in the Cure All, or any other private room, a pre-order will be requested.
A £10 per person pre-authorisation is required to confirm your booking. Whilst no money will be taken from your account, if you do not provide us with at least 24 hours notice to cancel your table or an individual who is no longer able to attend your booking, a £10 reservation fee will be charged from the card in which you used to pre authorise your booking. This fee is non-refundable or transferrable, unless the restaurant has to cancel or postpone your booking due to any Government enforcement.
Food service is currently only available in The Pig & Whistle, Portman Restaurant and on the Portman Terrace. There are a small number of tables available in the ‘Courtyard’. These will be available for guests wishing to dine near your bedroom and for guests wishing to enjoy a drink. We will be maintaining a 2m distance between tables, until further notice.
Booking Your Table.
Pre-booking is essential, and we cannot guarantee you a table, or service in the outside courtyard area without a booking.
Our menu, as ever is full of delicious locally sourced, seasonal and sustainable dishes. If you have any dietary requirements or specific requests, please let us know upon booking, or at least 48 hours prior to your booking.
If you book a table in The Pig & Whistle or Portman and wish to dine outside upon arriving, we cannot guarantee this, as the tables might already be reserved. Alternatively, if you book a table outside, these bookings are weather permitting and if it is unsuitable for you to sit outside we may not be able to offer you a table inside as these also might all be reserved. If you have any concerns in the days prior to your booking, please do get in touch. Booking fees will be transferred if your booking has to be postponed due to poor weather.
To book a table, please T. (01472) 884544 or E. firstname.lastname@example.org
Be Kind to our Team
Please note that we are opening with a small team, due to social distancing guidelines. We cannot wait to welcome you back and we just ask that you please bear with us whilst we begin our new ‘normal’ and fully find our feet. We are just humans too, and due to the government guidance surrounding the relaxation of the lock down, we are not superhero’s or experts and only have access to exactly the same information as you do. Whilst we know our terms and conditions might be a little wordy, they are there for your safety and for ours.
Dogs & Other Animals.
Dogs are welcome in The Pig & Whistle and outside areas. They can dine from their favourite dog-friendly menu. We ask that you ensure they are kept on a lead and not allow other guests to pet your dog, unless they are in your social ‘bubble’.
If you are dining with children, please be responsible for their movements, as we have to ensure that all of our guests are able to enjoy a pleasurable dining experience and that social distancing guidelines are not encroached. We will be allowing a 2m distance between all tables until further notice
If you are running a little early, please avoid waiting at the bar and bear with our team whilst they get your table ready and ensure that all cleaning procedures have been met. Please ensure that all parties utilise the hand sanitising unit which is placed outside the entrance, upon arrival.
Track and Trace.
Upon arrival, you will see a QR code placed at the door. These will also be available with your menu. We politely ask that you scan this with the camera of your smart phone and fill in the details. This is our track and trace measure, to ensure that all guests can be contacted if we are informed of any issues surrounding COVID-19. If you do not have a smart phone available, please ask a member of our team to fill this in for you. Whilst the response does prompt you not to enter the building if you have shown symptoms in the past 14 days, we also require that If you are showing symptoms in the days running up to your booking, that you rearrange for a time deemed safe and in accordance with the government’s guidance around self-isolating and socialising.
Rest Room Facilities.
Guests of Healing Manor Hotel and the Pig and Whistle are welcome to use rest room facilities when joining us. If you are staying in one of our bedrooms, we do encourage you to use the toilet facilities in your own room. However, if you are just visiting for food and/or drinks, our rest room facilities are cleaned and deep cleaned regularly.
We do ask that you as customers take note and adhere to the following guidelines.
- Utilise the hand sanitiser on or near your table, prior to visiting the restroom (this avoids any transfer of germs onto the door handles)
- Avoid queuing, or if this is required, please keep 2m apart.
- Once you have used the restroom facilities, please utilise the cleaning wipes and wipe the seat after use.
- Wash your hands, as per government guidance, before touching any door handles.
Please note that our grounds are our own private gardens. If you are joining us over night, for a drink, or to enjoy some of delicious award-winning food, please enjoy them at your own leisure.
We are home to a swan, some ducks and other wildlife. We ask that you respect their space. They especially don’t like it when young children and sometimes adults too, run at them screaming, so we politely ask that you refrain from doing this. They are friendly and might come and visit you for a bite to eat. We do ask that you don’t feed them, unless a member of our team is able to provide you with ‘duck snacks’. They live on a very healthy and species-friendly diet. Sid (aka the swan) might give you ‘the hungry eyes’ but he’s a great con artist, so don’t fall for it.
If you are booking to enjoy afternoon tea or any other menus which will be on offer throughout the summer in our grounds, please refrain from bringing any drinks or food on site with you. We are not licensed for this and it puts our Team in an awkward position when they have to take it off you, or have to ask you to leave. Our chefs are all in AA and removed bottles of beer/ spirits or anything else you might think about bringing with you, won’t be good for their livers, or their concentration when they are cooking your food…
Please do not fish in our waters.
Please do not encourage your dogs to jump in our waters. The moat in particular is mineral rich, which isn’t very good for your four-legged friends tummy’s
Please keep an eye out on our ‘what’s on’ page for summer events and outdoor picnics. For such events, we will be taking pre-orders and offering drinks packages, until we can welcome you back up to our bars.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Safety and service is our upmost priority.
